Who are we?

DPA (abbreviation for Danish Popular Auteurs) is known in English as Danish Songwriter’s Guild. We are a nonprofit organization, democratically governed by our members – songwriters, producers, composers, and writers within the popular music genres. DPA was established in 1918 as a union of lyric writers and composers within popular music and theater, making it one of the longest lasting guilds of its kind. DPA are one of the founding fathers of our national collecting society, Koda, founded in 1926, and we are represented on their board.

What do we do?

DPA works to secure the interests of our members and getting the best possible conditions for professional music creators. We do that through different projects, events, and political activities. Watch our website, Facebook, and Instagram for news about current activities.

If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to contact us at dpa@dpa.org.
